These events showcase gifted Belarusian performers, whether it exists in music, art, poetry, dance or theater. At those festivals, diverse prizes named after Soviet & Belarusian heroes are awarded for excellence in music or art. Several state holidays, like Independence Day or Victory Day draw big crowds & include diverse displays such as fireworks and armed forces parades. Virtually all of the festivals take place in Vitebsk or Minsk.
