Cosmopolitan Dusseldorf Author: Gagan Makin
The
lively cosmopolitan metropolis has a lot to offer in terms of
culture, fashion, media and shopping to the tourists. The busy
square of Burgplatz has on offer the historic Schlossturm tower and
the area also has a lot of restaurants and cafes whose surroundings
resemble that of Tuscany or Umbria. In Dusseldorf Germany, Burgplatz
is an ideal starting point for a tour of the area. Tourists are
quite fascinated by Dusseldorf’s Altstadt known as ‘the longest bar
in the world’. Though it is small in size, you will be amazed that
it can house about 200 bars, cafes and restaurants. The area is not
only about food and drink – it even has a number of cultural
attractions such as the Hetjens Museum, Film Museum, Stadtmuseum,
Heinrich Heine Institute and Palais Wittgenstein.
